About Arturo

Teaching Hatha Yoga for over 25 years, Arturo brings to his classes inspiration,dedication and the experience that comes with having trained thousands of students in the Art of Yoga. A student of the teachings of Indra Devi and B.K.S. Iyengar,world renowned Yoga masters in the Krichnamacharya tradition,Arturo has been fortunate enough to study with both of them in India, Latin America and the USA. Founder of the Yoga program at the University of California San Diego & now heading the University's 2 year Yoga teacher training program, he presents conferences and leads specialized workshops as well as teaching credit courses in the Philosophy and History of Yoga.

It has been Arturo's mission to bring the benefits of Yoga to a wide sector, through his work as co-founder of the Mind Body Seminars and television regular appearences promoting Yoga with Univision's ch.17 TV San Diego.

In his private practice he specializes in working one on one with individuals recovering from injuries and special needs.

Arturo holds degrees in Telecommunications and Education, several certifications in Yoga, member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists & is a registered 500 RYT with the Yoga Alliance
